Welded edges
The most common edge in processing industries — biscuits, confectionery and annealing plants — where the conveyor carries a normal load.
Bent edges
The spiral coil ends are bent over the cross rod to give the belt more flexibility and strength. Used in quenching and frying.
Chain edges
A rationally pitched chain is fitted at both sides, bolted or welded to reinforcing rods through the belt. Chain edges are used where tracking is a problem because of greasy or oily products, or where the load is carried up an incline. These belts are also called 'track-free' conveyors. See chain edge belts.
