What matters in this industry
Single-piece length
Joints and welds in an oven band create tracking problems. As ovens get longer, the band should be supplied in one single piece wherever possible.
Light weight
A heavy band lasts long but absorbs more energy every pass through the oven, raising fuel cost (electricity, oil or gas). We balance life against weight.
Perforation
The band needs open pores for hot air to pass through, giving uniform baking to biscuits and cookies.
