Z-47 articulated wire oven bands for continuous biscuit, cookie and cracker baking ovens — manufactured in Ambernath, India, since 1974.
The oven band is the most important belt in a biscuit plant: it decides how evenly your biscuits bake, how straight the line runs and how much fuel the oven burns. Roshan Industries has made biscuit oven belts since 1974 and is best known for the Z-47 articulated wire band used by biscuit manufacturers across India and abroad.
Buyers search for it under many names — biscuit oven band, bake oven band, baking oven belt, oven wire band, wire mesh oven belt, Z47 belt. They all describe the same job: an endless, flat, open metal belt that carries dough through a tunnel oven.

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Belt type | Z-47 articulated wire band (laminated / flattened) |
| Wire | 17 gauge (1.40 mm), 18 gauge (1.20 mm), 20 gauge (0.90 mm) |
| Materials | Mild steel (high-tensile hard-drawn wire), stainless steel, others on request |
| Temperature | Up to 600 °C (mild steel, 18 SWG) |
| Weight | 680 g per sq. ft (mild steel, 18 SWG) |
| Edges | Welded edge or bent edge |
| Size | Made to your oven's belt width and length |
Final wire gauge and material depend on your oven temperature and product load — our engineers confirm them with you.
After articulation the band is laminated (flattened) under a press, so every biscuit sits on an even, flat surface.
The open weave lets hot air circulate freely around the product for uniform baking of biscuits, cookies and crackers.
Joints and welds create tracking problems. We supply the band in one piece wherever the oven length allows.
A heavier band absorbs more heat every pass and raises fuel cost. We choose wire and gauge to balance belt life against energy use.
The edges are strengthened while the band keeps its full longitudinal flexibility around the drums.
Width, length, wire gauge, material and edge are made to your oven's specification and inspected before dispatch.
After the oven, biscuits are cooled, coated and handled on other belts. We make those too.

Large-pore wire belt that lets chocolate or oil drain freely during enrobing and quenching.

Mesh belt with pitched chains on both edges for positive drive, extra strength and trouble-free tracking.

The most widely used process-industry belt: straight-running, high tensile strength and economical.

It is the endless metal belt that carries dough pieces through a continuous tunnel baking oven. In biscuit plants it is usually a Z-47 articulated wire band — also called a bake oven band, baking oven belt, wire oven band or Z47 belt.
Most biscuit manufacturers use a Z-47 articulated wire band for baking. Its coils are articulated into one another and pressed flat, giving a flat, open surface so hot air reaches the biscuits from below. Balanced weave and laminated eye-link belts are used for other baking, drying and handling duties — tell us your oven and product and we will recommend the right belt.
Our standard Z-47 band in 18 SWG mild steel wire is rated up to 600 °C. Wire gauge and material are selected for your oven temperature and product load.
17 gauge (1.40 mm), 18 gauge (1.20 mm) and 20 gauge (0.90 mm), in mild steel or stainless steel. Other materials can be made to your requirement.
A heavy band lasts long but absorbs more energy on every pass through the oven, raising fuel cost — electricity, oil or gas. We balance belt life against weight for your oven.
Joints and welds in an oven band can cause tracking problems. As ovens get longer, the band should be supplied in one single piece wherever possible.
Yes. Our belts have been supplied to oven and machine builders in India and to biscuit manufacturers in India, Sri Lanka and Dubai. Email export@roshanind.com for export enquiries.
